Spotlight on Rob Plummer

On the value of education…

My parents are always on me about my grades. My step dad constantly tells me how the real world is difficult and that I should set myself up now to get a great job later. I am all about the importance of life and how we interact ourselves and with each other.

On academic challenges…

My French class has always been a pain in my side, especially the oral parts of the exams. They speak so fast!

On higher education…

I’ve looked into biomedical engineering in hopes of someday extending the human life span – possibly my own – by decreasing the rate at which people age. I Know it sounds kind of crazy. I also once thought of computer engineering. I would love to develop a device or devices that could rival the iPod and iPad.

On choosing Brooklyn Tech…

I heard that Brooklyn Tech was a specialized high school and I looked into it. I believe there are only 8 in New York. I know that they are very good schools so I took the admission test for Brooklyn Tech and got in. I also liked the fact that, unlike most high schools, Brooklyn Tech offers majors.

On today…

Currently I run a web show that involves a lot of video editing, if you want to consider that technology-based. We sometimes talk about technological stuff like new devices, upgrades and the even talk about the buzz on up and coming technology.
